According to Ruggiano and Perry (2019), the primary data is obtained by the researcher through the use of surveys, interviews, experiments which are established for understanding and solving identified issues. This is different from secondary research which entail use of already available data obtained from government institutions, organisation websites and facilities. For example, in the people function area, CIPD research reports and Office for National Statistics (ONS) and UK government websites could be used. According to Pandey and Pandey (2021), primary data is relevant for using it as entail sourcing of information for particular study purpose. The scope of this is ensuring that the questions are set based on the secondary research appropriateness. Albeit the secondary research available readily and appropriate presentation, it does not fit for this form of research. The rationale of this is that the obtained is not holistic and authoritative in their transitioning from primary to the secondary information (Easterby-Smith et al., 2021).
