The organisation needs to choose a measure which will reduce negative impacts on personnel together with stakeholders throughout downsizing procedures. For personnel dismissal the organisation should offer three options which include allowing employees to resign voluntarily and enhancing their skills while giving appropriate severance payments. Influence on Decision-Making Utilitarians benefit human resources professionals to make decisions by using data resulting in both organisational success and societal advantages (CIPD, 2023).
