Literature Review
This chapter focuses on providing a critical review of literature pertaining to the adoption of efficient design and procurement strategies for reducing wastes in the construction sector. It is comprised of three main sections. The first section reviews provide a detailed analysis of the theoretical framework used in informing the theoretical background of the study. The second section critically evaluates the role of efficient design and procurement strategies in the management of construction projects. In this section, the background of the construction industry and the concept of waste management has been evaluated.
