In most organizations, the frequency of performance appraisals is done often. It is advisable owing to the complexities of the process to ensure that the process is conducted annually with all requirements of the appraisal being taken into account and all stakeholders actively involved. The purpose of performance appraisals is identifying the performance of different employees, identify those to be retained in the progress of the organization and ensuring that compensation is in line with the individual employee’s contributions to an entity progress.
