 Explain why Insights, strategy and solutions and Leading HR sit at the heart of the HR and L&D profession. (AC 1.1)

Purpose and Structure of CIPD Profession Map, professional Areas, Behaviours and Bands
The CIPD Profession map purpose is capturing of knowledge and behaviors where the HR and L&D professionals ends up demonstrating for the sake of meeting their requirements for professional membership. Hence, it demonstrates the extent in which HR ought to increase sustained value to individuals and organizations currently and in future practice. In regard to profession area, the map offers a definition of the building blocks of effective people management practices in different areas such as professional specialisms, description of eight fundamental behaviors and underpinning good practice irrespective of their specialism.
