Coca-Cola Company is a beverage retailer, manufacturer and marketer of non-alcoholic products and other syrups. Their active practice is characterised by the existence of more than 500 brands in over 200 countries serving 1.6 billion people daily. The company popularity is linked to its flagship product which is the Coca-Cola headquartered in Atlanta Georgia and ranked as the world’s largest beverage company. The five most popular beverages brands globally are sold by the company which include Diet Coke, Fanta, and sprite. Other popular products of the company include diet and light beverages, water products, juices and juice drinks. As such, the company is the best-selling company for the soft drinks globally with the Middle East and particularly UAE being characterised by an increasing presence in their beverage market.

1.2 Supply Chain Management in the Coca-Cola Company

The supply chain of Coca-Cola Company is characterised by different activities and roles being played by the manufacturers, distributors, retailers and consumers at the end playing their distinct respective roles. As a consequence of the company vast nature of their operations and distinct product lines globally, all their products have a unique supply chain. At the top of the supply chain is the production of syrup concentrates which is later sold to different bottlers globally holding an exclusive territory.
