There have been significant changes in the learning approaches in businesses. Some of the contributing factors have been the macro environment, such as social and economic. COVID-19, for instance, which has continued to affect the world, prompted companies to exploit new learning approaches. Therefore, companies and learning institutions have focused on establishing new learning strategies, including online learning, while embracing information and communication technology (ICT) developments. This report evaluates the new forms of learning approaches, which could be more cost-effective for a company. It is structured in two main sections of learning approaches and the effectiveness of innovative strategies, including online learning.
2.0 Learning Strategies
There are several learning approaches that businesses can explore.
2.1 Instructor-led Physical Training
Among the traditional strategies is instructor-led physical learning. This strategy involves the training that occurs in the classroom setting, and the tutor presents the materials. It is usually an effective approach, particularly in complex topics and aspects. Physical learning allows the instructors and learners to engage, providing an opportunity to answer questions. This learning strategy, however, has some challenges, including time and cost of implementation. During the COVID-19 period, the physical training approach has been affected by the consequences and restrictions of a physical meeting.
