  1. Negative Consequences of Entrepreneur’s Strong Internal Locus of Control

Entrepreneurs are defined in Brown et al. (2018) as possessing of immense internal locus of control. Considering the current module notes, locus of control is applied in defining the scope in which a person agree/believe with a holistic control of their future or another person controlling this. A case example is where a person is experienced operating in a leadership position, there are people lacking a control of their personal lives. This is affirmed by Asante and Affum-Osei (2019) study which hypothesised that a high locus control has a positive correlation with performance and scope of success in operations. This is owing to their appropriate positioning in noting improvement areas and actions pursued. Nevertheless, the negative consequence of this is lack of an all-inclusive decision being made when the strong internal locus of control is prevalent.

Further, the strong internal locus of control directly influence on tendencies development of various individuals directly and prioritising on their interests. A further negative consequence of this is some of the stakeholders assuming a feeling of being unaccepted and hence gain a negative perception of their capacity to work in collaboration with the rest. Finally, this represent a negative consequence on delegation of responsibilities to entrepreneurs possessing a strong internal locus of control.

2.0 Personal Relationships Contributing Positively to Firm’s Entrepreneurial Transformation Generally, possessing of an effective and good personal relationships directly correlate to mitigation of any challenge limiting successful and  appropriate business orientation. A case example is what Wei et al. (2019) identify as entrepreneurs possessing relevant individualised relations being in a position of establishing collegial relations in their operations. This model is identified as a trend of the teams implementing their roles effectively. Concurrently, the weak areas of the different members of the team are noted with their strengths prioritised for improvement to guarantee an entity successful operations.
