Today, people practice professionals’ roles have significantly been evolving in the recent years owing to various aspects including workplace pattern change due to prevalence of COVID-19, technological disruption and priority being advanced on health and wellbeing of staff.

For example, post COVID-19 pandemic, change occurred forcing use of digitised tools with people practice professionals appreciating best practice in managing remote working teams and designing initiatives intended to promote flexible working strategy. New developed technology including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and people analytics similarly has a critical role to informing the changes in modern people profession (CIPD, 2022a). The disruption is evident in areas of workforce planning, resourcing all the employees successfully (CIPD et al., 2020).

CPD Informed by the Change

For the purpose of progressing in developing individually in the continuously changing people practice profession, my intentions are prioritising on two core CPD areas; First, I intend to enrol to capacity development program on AI and HR analytics
