Method of Consultation – Liaising with Internal Customers
A sound approach to consulting that Kath may employ is speaking directly with the internal customers, i.e., employees, during frequent one-to-one meetings or casual discussion (CIPD, 2023). The one-on-one sessions of this nature provide a safe haven where employees feel at liberty to express their perceptions and grievances confidentially. Thus, Kath may be able to address the causative factor of dissatisfaction, for instance, overload of work, poor control, or breakdown in communication since the organisational restructuring. Active listening and note-taking of recurring themes will assist Kath in comprehending the emotional and functional reasons for staff turnover (Cuncic, 2024). It also suggests that the leadership is open to hearing and change, which can assist in reconnecting psychological safety and trust among staff members.
