is important that these factors are addressed. (AC 2.5)
Assessment of Two Key Factors Affecting Wellbeing
Two critical factors impacting employee wellbeing at Calmere House are work-life balance and relationships at work.
Work-life balance
There has been a considerable poor work life balance after the takeover. Employment is being filled through staff working longer shifts to cover colleagues who are absent, and a significant portion of employees are working on additional shifts to shield residents against the effects of the shortage (CIPD, 2024). This imbalance may result in an additional sick leaves, excessive turnover and deterioration of the quality of care in case it is not managed. On the positive, encouraging flexible working hours and ensuring workable workloads will boost the morale and minimize absenteeism (CIPD, 2018).
Relationships at work.
