The findings in this report evidence existence of a direct impact of training and development on organisations performance. The trends in the data evidence that when training and development are offered, the employees motivation, commitment and ability to execute their roles is improved. These findings are supported by Musriha (2019) study which hypothesised the existence of a direct correlation of employees performance and training and motivation. In this study, it highlighted that through training and development, this lead to the employees increased performance. This is also supported by Murray et al. (2022) study which has argued on the direct correlation of the organisations being offered with appropriate training opportunities end up enhancing the overall performance. From the data analysis, training and development is specifically a major factor as it even determine the intention of employees to leave or remain in an organisation. Organisations recording high-level turnover tend to suffer in terms of their performance and leveraging on competitive advantage.
In this research, it was evidenced that the employees had recorded an improvement in their performance levels owing to provision of training and development opportunities. This is in line with Hotz et al. (2021) research work which hypothesised that the strategy would lead to an increased morale of the employee, lowered production costs, reduced turnover, change management process, improving the existence and quality of the employees and broadening career progression opportunities. Similar to Rusilowati and Maulida (2020) findings which had noted on 40% increase in performance in organisations investing in training and development initiatives, similar findings were obtained in this research. This research had found 60% increased performance for organisations investing in training and development strategies.
From the findings, as shown in figure 2, training and development ranked at the top when the respondents were asked on the approaches for improving their motivation, performance and appropriate leadership.
