There can be major challenges and complexities facing organisations when they become international in their scope and activities. Comparative people management practice varies from country to country and People Professionals need to be equipped with the right level of knowledge and skill to help the organisation achieve its objectives by managing staff and employment practices as well and developing sustainable management activities.

You have been asked by your Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to produce a report to help them understand how people management practices vary in different countries and what people management activities they should be developing within their organisation.

This task needs to be split into three themes, looking at how people practices vary, focusing on managing talent in an international setting and challenges that organisations face when managing teams internationally.

Section 1 – Advise about the major ways in which people practice varies globally.

When providing advice, areas you could include are:
