One such diverse leadership and management development initiative conducted at Saudi Telecom Company (stc) is the “Future Women Leaders Programme”, which works to increase female representation in leadership positions in a largely male dominated sector (STC, 2023). The programme provides quired training, mentoring and leadership workshops that prepare women for senior roles specifically equipped with the skills and confidence to take on such roles. In addition, this initiative is in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 objective pursuing women’s participation in the workforce. This is evident by the continuous increase in women assuming middle and senior management roles within stc. However, this programme is significant as it inspires various thinking, creativity and shows dedication to social and cultural progress in the work place.
Inclusion
Through its Leadership Academy, STC is including everyone through providing equal access to learning and development opportunities to all employees no matter their departments, backgrounds, or job grades. No one is excluded, and the academy uses inclusive learning design, including making content accessible and in multiple formats and using flexible learning (STC, 2020). There are online and in person sessions that cater to different learning needs and working environment. However, the initiative is effective in creating a sense of belonging, which enhances employee engagement and makes sure that leadership potential is recognised throughout the organization. The creation of a culture where everybody feels valued and motivated to grow within the company is based on inclusive development.
