Study Aim

The aim of the study would be to evaluate the impact of the social media marketing on the customer’s perception on the brand essence. The selected brand to achieve this aim is the KNS pizza which includes fresh, local and delicious food for a smile.

Research Objectives

To achieve the identified research aim, the following objectives would be pursued;

  • To understand the different approaches in social media marketing that can be adopted by KNS Pizza
  • To understand the impact of social media marketing to the customer’s perception prior, during and after the marketing process by KNS pizza
  • To evaluate the essence of a brand and relevance of customer’s perception with KNS pizza as the case study company
  • To recommend the best social media marketing approach for marketers to directly influence the customer perceptions for KNS pizza to leverage on competitive advantage

Introduction

The use of social media marketing as an appropriate strategy is significantly growing with the contemporary entities believing that it can offer them with their competitive advantage in comparison to the traditional communication (Tuten & Solomon, 2017; Felix et al., 2017). This is despite limited studies have evaluated the concept of the consumers to social media marketing. As such, this research would focus on assessing the impact of the different social media marketing strategies on the perception of the customers on the brand’s essence (Godey et al., 2016; Alves et al., 2016). The brand of choice is the KNS pizza company which produces pizzas which produce high quality and unique pizzas as opposed to their competitors. The findings from this study would evaluate whether the social media marketing can be successful in their operations, how it integrates the different experiences of the customers, alter the perception of the customers on a brand and stimulating the buying behaviours of the customers of the targeted KNS pizza brand. The outcomes would be relevant to different marketers in understanding the best strategy in promoting the customer’s perceptions and ultimately developing strategies and leveraging on their competitive advantage.
