In the modern organization practice, due to the existing competitiveness and globalization, HR function is a fundamental area of the organization’s operations. As noted by Farndale et al. (2010), the roles of HR function are critical in an organization operation. Additionally Novicevic and Harvey (2001) argued that a successful HR function leads to development of a feeling of inclusion in an organization team by all the members with the leaders making and owning the appropriate decision. HR function roles in an organization include compliance with the set laws, keeping an organization records, hiring and training of employees, compensation, relational assistance and handling particular performance issues in an organization. Taking this into account, HR function is fundamental to understanding the organizational growth and their sustainability. Different organizations are identified by diverse HR function settings which are flexible and dynamic and dictate how an organization is set up. The current report focuses on understanding the purpose and key objectives of the HR function in the modern organisations, understanding how HR objectives are delivered in different organisations, understanding the HR function evaluation in terms of value added and organization performance. Lastly is the evaluation of the relationship between the organizational performance and effective HR management and development.
